Look for his 2007 Saint-Véran Les Vieilles Vignes ($25; Vineyard Brands), a wine that delivers deep, chewy fruit flavors and lively minerality in a style reminiscent of his pricier wines from up north.'

Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2007: 93 points Wine Spectator

26.04.10>

Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2007: 93 points - Wine Spectator (April 2010) "These are the most exciting discoveries from our editors'most recent tastings, published exclusively in Wine Spectator Insider. The overall goal is to work more naturally; the wines are showing more purity and focus as a result. In 1998, he began moving to more organic cultivation. In 2008, the conversion to biodynamic viticulture started and since 2009 he has commenced the process for biodynamic certification. He plans to be fully converted by 2011. This of course will apply to Girardin’s 54 acres of domaine holdings. He also purchases fruit and a little juice from long-term agreements with growers to ensure consistency from vintage to vintage.'

2008 VINTAGE: LAST REVIEWS

25.01.10>

Dear Friends, See below the last reviews from Jancis Robinson, an independant British journalist, about some of our 2008s: Pouilly Fuissé "Vieilles Vignes" 2008: 15.5/20 Rully 1er Cru "Les Cloux" 2008: 15.5/20 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "En Remilly" 2008: 16.5/20 Chassagne-Montrachet "Vieilles Vignes" 2008: 16.5/20 Puligny-Montrachet "Vieilles Vignes" 2008: 17/20 Meursault "Clos des Charrons" 2008: 17/20 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos du Cailleret" 2008: 17/20 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" 2008: 16.5/20 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2008: 17.5/20

ROBERT PARKER'S RATINGS FOR OUR 2007s WHITES

11.01.10>

Dear Friends, We are pleased to inform you about the ratings from Robert Parker for our 2007s whites on his website www.erobertparker.com: Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru 2007: 95 points Bienvenue Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru 2007: 95 points Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru: 95 points Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru: 91+ points Puligny Montrachet "Les Combettes" 2007: 93 points Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Folatières": 93 points Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles": 93 points Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "La Romanée" 2007: 92 points Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Le Cailleret" 2007: 92 points Meursault 1er Cru "Charmes-Dessus" 2007: 93 points Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" 2007: 92 points Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" 2007: 93 points Meursault "Les Narvaux" 2007: 91 points Puligny Montrachet "Vieilles Vignes": 91 points Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Les Murgers des Dents de Chien": 90 points

Biodynamic culture: labours in the vinyeards

18.12.09>

Dear Friends, As we enter the second year of the the three-year process required for biodynamic certification of the Domaine's wines, the vineyard staff work in the vineyards. - October: Compost spreading to energize the soil and plants, - Cow manure preparation or "500 P": when added to the soil in the vineyards it creates humus, which is important as it improves the structure of the soil. This preparation was spread last October 14 and 15 during the waning crescent moon, which is better for soil penetration. - November: Making holes in the vinyeards: it enables us to pull the old or ill vines up and to prepare the new planting. Mounding the soil around the base of the vines to uncompress the soil to help the soil breathe and to increase the microbial life. - December: Guyot pruning See you next year for the future adventures!”

NEW SCORES AT THE WINE SPECTATOR

27.11.09>

Dear Friends, We are pleased to inform you about the following scores in the Wine Spectator from Bruce Sanderson: Bienvenues-Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru 2007 : 93 points Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru 2007 : 92 points Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru 2007: 92 points Enjoy your reading... and tasting!

NEWS SCORES FROM THE WINE SPECTATOR

20.11.09>

Dear Friends, We are pleased to inform you about the following scores in the Wine Spectator from Bruce Sanderson: Meursault « Les Tillets 2007 » : 90 points Meursault 1er Cru « Les Genevrières » 2007 : 92 points Meursault 1er Cru « Les Charmes-Dessus » 2007 : 90 points Enjoy your reading... and tasting!

NEW RATINGS AT THE WINE SPECTATOR

01.10.08>

Dear Friends, We are pleased to inform you about the following scores in the Wine Spectator from Bruce Sanderson: White wines: Meursault 1er Cru "Les Charmes Dessus" 2006: 92 Points Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" 2006: 93 Points Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2006: 93 points "Quintessence" de Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2006: 95 points Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru 2006: 94 points Red Wines: Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2006: 92 points Chambertin Grand Cru Clos de Bèze 2006: 94 points Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2006: 93 points Enjoy your reading... and tasting!
Version Française
Breading
Contact
Distributor
News
Our Domain
Our Wines
Philosophy
Press Review
Rewards
Wine Grower
Wine Making
