Vincent Girardin was born in Santenay, in the Cote de Beaune and is part of a winemaking family whose origins date to the 17th century (11th generation). Now in his forties, Vincent began in 1982 with only 2 hectares (5 acres) of vines. When his father retired, Vincent took over several additional hectares to which he could devote himself. Vincent Girardin’s wife Veronique, has worked alongside Vincent at the Domaine since 1994. As of today, the Domaine represents 20 hectares (around 50 acres) which comprised of 42 parcels from 8 villages in the Côte de Beaune: - 7,20 hectares (17,80 acres) in the village of Puligny-Montrachet including Grands Crus: Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru And Premiers Crus: « Les Champs Gains » « Les Referts » « Les Folatières » « Les Combettes » « Les Pucelles » - 3,50 hectares (8,65 acres) in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet including Premiers Crus: “Les Chaumées” “Morgeot” “Clos du Cailleret” - 2,40 hectares (5,95 acres) in the village of Saint-Aubin including Premiers Crus : “Les Perrières” “En Remilly” “Les Murgers de Dents de Chien” - 4 hectares (9,90 hectares) in the village of Santenay including Premiers Crus : “La Maladière” “Le Beauregard” “Les Gravières” « Le Clos de Tavannes » - 1 hectare (2,5 acres) in the village of Savigny-Les-Beaune with « lieux-dit » (parcels) : « Les Vermots-Dessus » « Les Gollardes » - 0,60 hectare (1,50 acre) in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton including Grands Crus : Corton Charlemagne - 0,70 hectare (1,70 acre) in the village of Meursault, including the parcel: “Les Narvaux” - 0,40 hectare (1 acre) in the village of Pommard, including the parcel: “Les Vignots”.
